What are the differences between the Beaute de Maman Stretch Mark Cream and other brands on the market?

There are several significant differences between Beaute de Maman Stretch Mark Cream and the competing products.  First and foremost is the quality of the product.

Beaute de Maman contains herbal and botanical ingredients that have been shown to increase collagen and elastin. Breakage of these skin proteins during the rapid expansion of the skin during pregnancy is responsible for the creation of stretch marks. By increasing the production of these skin proteins the severity and the extent of stretch marks can be markedly reduced.

Anti- wrinkle creams employ similar technology. However, those products are not tested in pregnancy.

In addition, many of the competing products recommended for the pregnant woman do not contain this technology. These products primarily moisturize and hydrate the skin as the sole means of protection. Their effectiveness against stretch marks is therefore marginal.

Another significant advantage of our product is the fact that it is an ABSORBENT CREAM rather than a messy oil. Pregnant women care about their clothes and their appearance, making an absorbent cream a far superior product.

Beaute de Maman is a product line developed SOLELY by a PRACTICING obstetrician. Our products have been researched using databases and reproduction toxicity reports available only to physicians.

Each ingredient has been extensively researched to insure safety to the mother and developing fetus. Our products, unlike some competitor products contain NO PARABENS.

In addition, all our products have been patient tested. Having a large obstetrical population, I was able to test each product on hundreds of patients who filled out questionnaires and made comments.  Product was released only after all the suggestions were used to manufacture the best quality product.

Other competing products on the market can not make these claims.

Competitive products are designed by non medical business people many with imported products, under different guidelines, Some are designed by large companies that deal primarily with baby skin care products who have now decided to branch into the maternal arena. Others were developed by individuals with no experience or knowledge about pregnancy other than having been pregnant themselves. The Beaute line is strictly maternal and aims to deal only with the problems associated with the pregnant woman from years of experience and caring for thousands of pregnant women.

Our packaging is also more elegant and our products are more affordable compared to others.

What is the difference between the Beaute de Maman Nipple Gel and other brands on the market?

The active ingredient in many of the nipple gels on the market today is LANOLIN. This is an animal based product that is pure cholesterol. It is made from wool grazing animals that feed on grass treated with pesticides requiring purification for manufacture. It is dark, greasy, stains undergarments, and has an odor.

The Beaute line is a CASTOR OIL based product—a monounsaturated fatty acid—far healthier for an infant. In addition, we made it COLORLESS, ODORLESS, and NOT GREASY! We added calendula officinalis, a well-known natural herb, that has antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory qualities, which will aid in the prevention of mastitis during breast-feeding. With all these marked improvements—we made it affordable to all women.

What is the difference between the Beaute de Maman Face and Body Cream for blemished skin and other products on the market?

Acne is a major problem in pregnancy. The acne we see is a superficial, papular eruption that is best treated with topical products.

Beaute de Maman Face and Body Cream is one of the only products specifically developed to treat acne in pregnancy.

The Face and Body cream contains an herb called Melaleuca Alternifolia, which has the same effectiveness as benzoyl peroxide in its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities. However, benzoyl peroxide has a terrible odor, which pregnant women are sensitive to, and it also stains clothing, sheets, and bedclothes. In addition, in order to prevent excessive drying, which benzoyl peroxide can do, we added a moisturizing base, and we also added natural botanical oils to mask any odor.

Many of the well known available products contain ingredients that are NOT recommended in pregnancy such as tetracycline, salicylic acid, Retin-A, acutane, erythromycin estolate.

What is the difference between the Beaute de Maman Facial Scrub and other products on the market? 

The Facial Scrub was developed to cleanse the skin and unclog pores, which can contribute to blemished skin. It is good for all skin types. The exfoliating beads are in a moisturizing base and help remove surface dirt and make-up.

Should I be concerned about the packaging of the Beaute de Maman products?

US health advocacy groups have put out warnings that pregnant women should reduce their exposure to any packaging that contains bisphenol A (BPA) to avoid passing this chemical to their unborn child. 

The Beaute de maman line has intentionally avoided any packaging that might contain this harmful chemical.

Beaute de Maman has active ingredients that are natural and plant-derived. There are no benzophenones, no formaldehyde, no parabens, and no sulfites. There are no animal derived ingredients and no animal testing of products.
